Church of Saint Joseph (New Town)
From Prague-wiki
The Church of Saint Joseph (Kostel svatého Josefa in Czech) is a simple Baroque building on Náměstí republiky in the New Town. The square "Náměstí republiky" was formerly named after the church: "Josefské náměstí"
The church was built it 1636-53 as a part of a Capuchin monastery. It is separated from the square by a wall, which creates a calm small courtyard in front of the church door. The outer face of this wall is adorned with two statues.
Today the church looks quite petite, because next to it a Neo-romanesque building of former barracks (now shopping centre Palladium) was built.
